πβ¨ Trunk or Treat Sensory Tables β¨π Weβre excited to offer a special sensory-friendly area for our sensory friends during our Trunk or Treat event! We will have space for a maximum of 12 sensory tables. This area will be grab-and-go style, meaning there will be no activities required at your table. Your main job is to create a fun, welcoming table display and hand out candy or treats to our sensory friends. π¨ Table Decorating Ideas Some fun ideas include: π **Apple Orchard** β Red and green decorations, baskets, gingham, apples, and a cute orchard sign. πΎ **Fall Harvest** β Hay bales, pumpkins, sunflowers, corn stalks, baskets, and warm fall colors. π **Farm Theme** β Farm animals, red-and-white dΓ©cor, hay, baskets, and a "Happy Harvest" sign. π» **Sunflower Theme** β Sunflowers, yellow and green decorations, burlap, and coordinating candy bowls. π **Autumn Leaves** β Colorful fall leaves, branches, pumpkins, and a beautiful fall backdrop. 𧑠**Bright & Colorful** β Balloons, streamers, colorful tablecloths, and fun signs without a specific theme. βοΈ **Faith-Inspired** β Decorate with encouraging messages, Scripture, crosses, or themes centered around God's love and joy. π **Storybook or Character Theme** β Choose a favorite family-friendly book or character and decorate your table around it. π Sensory-Friendly Decorating Tips Because this area is specifically for our sensory friends, please keep decorations fun but not overwhelming. We encourage you to: * Avoid flashing or strobe lights * Keep music and loud sounds off at your table * Avoid strong scents * Use soft, welcoming colors when possible * Keep decorations from blocking or crowding the table * Clearly display your candy/treat options * Consider offering a non-food treat such as stickers, small toys, bookmarks, or fidgets Most importantly, keep it simple, welcoming, and joyful! π β° Important Times Sensory Area: 5:00 PMβ6:00 PM Set-Up Begins: 4:00 PM Please arrive by 4:00 PM so you have plenty of time to decorate and have your table ready before our sensory friends arrive. Host a cookie party at your house with friends, family, neighbors, or your small group to help stock the LiFT Truck for our Christmas Community Serve. Bake, decorate, and package cookies together while helping us spread Christmas cheer throughout our community! Can't make it to the Christmas Serve in person? You can still be part of the mission! Your cookie party is a fun way to serve from home and make a difference. πΈ Don't forget to send us your pictures and videos! Thanksgiving Day Serve Join us as we share the love of Jesus with our community this Thanksgiving! Weβll be delivering Thanksgiving boxes to predetermined areas and handing out boxes at LiFT Church for families who choose to pick them up.
